The 7 Pot Brain Strain Yellow is a colour variant of the 7 Pot Brain Strain, selectively bred by David Cappiello in North Carolina, United States. It originates from Trinidadian 7 Pot peppers and belongs to the Capsicum chinense species. The pods display a heavily wrinkled, brain-like surface and mature to a bright yellow colour. They typically measure around 5 centimetres in length and approximately 2.5 centimetres in width, though size can vary.

This cultivar delivers extreme heat, averaging around 1,200,000 Scoville Heat Units. The flavour is fruity with subtle citrus undertones. The term 7 Pot refers to the traditional belief that a single pod is capable of heating seven pots of stew.
