About this pepper

The 7 Pot Brown, also known as the Chocolate 7 Pot, is a landrace Capsicum chinense variety originating from Trinidad. It typically reaches heat levels of around 1,200,000 Scoville Heat Units, placing it among the hottest peppers in the 7 Pot group and comparable to the Red 7 Pot. The mature pods ripen to a deep chocolate-brown colour and display a rough, heavily bumpy surface, often with small dimples.

The flavour profile is described as fruity with a nutty finish. There is ongoing debate around its classification, as it is sometimes confused with the 7 Pot Douglah due to similarities in appearance and heat level.
