About this pepper

The 7 Pot Brown x Wrecking Ball, also known as the Wrecking Ball 7B, is a super-hot Capsicum chinense hybrid created by Wisconsin grower Chad Soleski, who is also known for developing the Chocolate Bhutlah. This variety was produced by crossing the original Wrecking Ball, itself a 7 Pot and Naga hybrid, with a 7 Pot Brown.

The pods have thin walls and a heavily bumpy surface typical of super-hot peppers. Prominent oil pockets are often visible on the pod surface, particularly along the ridges, indicating its extreme heat. While the original cross was made by Soleski, this specific line was cultivated by Randy Keaton of Keely Farms. Pods typically weigh around 10 grams with the stem attached.

When cut, the pepper releases a strong, classic super-hot aroma. The flavour includes mild floral notes with noticeable bitterness. The heat builds rapidly and concentrates in the throat before radiating outward, delivering an intense super-hot experience.
