7 Pot Bubblegum

The 7 Pot Bubblegum, also known as BBG7 or Bleeding Bubblegum, is a super-hot Capsicum chinense cultivar developed by Jon Harper in the United Kingdom around 2010 to 2011. It is a cross between the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and the 7 Pot Yellow.

A defining characteristic of this cultivar is the bleeding calyx and stem, where red pigmentation extends from the fruit into the calyx and sometimes up the stem as the pod ripens. The pods are typically wrinkled and bulbous, measuring approximately 3 to 5 centimetres in length. They mature from green to red, with colour bleeding becoming most pronounced at full ripeness.

The flavour is commonly described as fruity with subtle citrus notes. Several colour variants have since been developed, including Yellow, Chocolate (Brown), and White strains, each retaining the bleeding trait with variations in colour and, in some cases, heat level.
