About this pepper

The 7 Pot Defcon Caramel is a super-hot Capsicum chinense cultivar and a caramel-coloured variant of the 7 Pot Defcon Red, discovered by grower T-E in the United States. It is recognised as one of the hotter 7 Pot lines and is known for its distinctive face-like pod structure, often described as resembling a Predator-style expression.

The pods transition from light green at the immature stage to a deep caramel colour when fully ripe. They typically measure approximately 5 to 10 centimetres in length and have a rounded form with heavy bumping and deep indentations. Plants are large and vigorous, producing high yields, though they are less tolerant of excessive moisture. The flavour carries mild fruity tones with a forward pepper character, followed by intense heat consistent with the traditional 7 Pot reputation.
