About this pepper

The 7 Pot Jonah is a Trinidad 7 Pot strain with lineage traced to a Trinidadian man named Jonah. When Jonah relocated to Florida, he brought seeds with him and shared them with chilli grower Allen Boatman, who subsequently cultivated and distributed the line. The name Jonah was adopted to distinguish this strain from other 7 Pot varieties, with the distinction already in use by 2008.

The pods are larger and more rounded than many other 7 Pot peppers, maturing from light green to bright red. They exhibit a heavily wrinkled, pimply surface, and many develop a pronounced scorpion-like tail. The aroma is robust and fruity, with a flavour that is slightly sweeter and more pronounced than other 7 Pot strains, accompanied by intense heat.
