7 Pot Madballz

The 7 Pot Madballz is a super-hot Capsicum chinense cultivar that gained attention within the chilli-growing community around 2010 due to its extreme heat. It is widely believed to be the result of an accidental cross, possibly involving a Chocolate Bhut Jolokia and a Red 7 Pot, though this lineage has not been definitively confirmed.

The pods display a deeply wrinkled surface reminiscent of Bhut Jolokia and ripen to a distinctive rusty or sunburst orange colour, often with brown and red swirling tones. According to grower Madhatter, the variety originated from a plant initially thought to be a Chocolate Bhut, which was later suspected to involve 7 Pot genetics. The plant was subsequently passed to grower Ballzworth for further cultivation and distribution.
