7 Pot Primo

The 7 Pot Primo is a super-hot Capsicum chinense cultivar developed in the early 2000s by Troy Primeaux of Louisiana, United States. It was intentionally bred by crossing a Naga Morich with a 7 Pot variety to achieve extreme heat and a distinctive pod structure.

The pods are heavily wrinkled and bumpy, often developing a pronounced stinger tail. They typically mature from green to bright red and average around 5 centimetres in length. Primeaux stabilised the cultivar over multiple generations, and it has since gained recognition for its intense heat, rugged appearance, and high capsaicin content.

The 7 Pot Primo has been used extensively as a parent in breeding projects, contributing extreme heat and characteristic morphology to numerous hybrid cultivars.
