Ají Benito

The Aji Benito is a Capsicum baccatum cultivar originating from Bolivia. It produces medium-sized, flattened pods that mature from light green to bright red. The fruits have thin walls and a fruity flavour, with heat levels considered high within the Capsicum baccatum species.

Plants have a compact, spreading growth habit and are often noted for their ornamental appearance due to the prominently displayed, brightly coloured fruits. The thin-walled pods are suitable for drying and are commonly used in the production of chilli powder.
