Ají Chuncho (PI 260480)

The Aji Chuncho, also known as PI 260480, is an heirloom Capsicum frutescens cultivar native to Peru. It is recognised for prolific fruit production and strong adaptability, including the ability to continue producing pods during cooler conditions when many other varieties slow down.

The pods mature from green to red and deliver a medium heat level, typically ranging between 30,000 and 50,000 Scoville Heat Units. This balance of productivity, resilience, and moderate heat makes Aji Chuncho well suited to a wide range of culinary applications.
