About this pepper

The Aji Guyana is a Capsicum baccatum chilli originating from Guyana in South America. It is recognised for its medium heat level and citrusy, fruity flavour profile. The pods are long and slender, typically measuring between 15 and 20 centimetres in length and around 2 centimetres in width, and ripen from green to a vibrant yellow.

Plants are highly productive and often require staking to support the weight of the fruit. Due to rapid growth and strong yields, Aji Guyana is well suited to container cultivation and can produce multiple harvests over an extended growing season. The pods are versatile in culinary use, including roasting, fresh salsas, salads, and drying into seasoning powders.
