About this pepper

The Aji Habanero is a South American Capsicum baccatum cultivar and is not closely related to the Capsicum chinense habanero despite the shared name. The pods typically measure around 6.4 centimetres in length and approximately 1.9 centimetres in width, with a tapered and slightly wrinkled appearance. They mature from green to a yellowish-orange colour.

This variety is known for a smoky, fruity flavour and a moderate heat level of around 7,500 Scoville Heat Units. Plants are prolific producers and can reach heights of up to approximately 1.5 metres, making them well suited to extended growing seasons.
