About this pepper

Aribibi Gusano, also known as the Caterpillar Pepper, is a rare Capsicum chinense variety originating from Bolivia. The name “gusano,” meaning “worm” in Spanish, refers to the distinctive appearance of the pods.

Plants produce slender, heavily wrinkled pods that resemble caterpillars in shape. The pods typically measure around 5 centimetres in length and mature from green to a creamy white colour. The flavour is bright and citrus-forward, paired with a high heat level characteristic of Capsicum chinense varieties.
