About this pepper

Bangalore Whippet's Tail is a hybrid chilli variety originating from Bangalore, India. It is a cross between Bangalore Torpedo and Whippet's Tail, combining traits associated with both Capsicum annuum and Capsicum frutescens.

Plants typically grow to around one metre in height and are known for very high productivity. The pods are long and slender, often reaching up to 25 centimetres in length, and commonly display a twisted or curled form reminiscent of a whippet dog's tail. Pods mature from green to bright red.

Heat levels are medium and are commonly estimated at around 35,000 Scoville Heat Units.
