About this pepper

Bhutlah Yellow is a Capsicum chinense hybrid developed in Australia by The Chilli Factory. It is a cross between Bhut Jolokia and Trinidad Douglah, combining genetic traits associated with extreme heat levels.

The pods are medium sized, pointed, and heavily wrinkled, maturing from green to a yellow to yellow-orange colour. Plants are vigorous and commonly reach between 120 and 140 centimetres in height. Under favourable conditions, plants are capable of producing high yields over a long growing season.

This variety is recognised for extremely high capsaicin content, with heat levels commonly reported at around 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units.
