Information

Bismark is a super-hot Capsicum chinense hybrid developed in Italy by grower Rocco Maltesi. It is the result of a cross between Skunk Red and MA Wartryx. The variety is named after the German battleship Bismarck, which itself was named after Otto von Bismarck. The pods are very large, heavily textured, and frequently display a scorpion-like form. They mature from green to red and are noted for relatively consistent pod shape across plants. Heat levels are extremely high and comparable to other super-hot varieties, commonly estimated at around 900,000 Scoville Heat Units. Despite the intensity of the heat, the peppers exhibit fruity flavour characteristics typical of Capsicum chinense types.
