Borg 9 Hot Chocolate

Borg 9 Hot Chocolate is a Capsicum chinense hybrid developed in the United Kingdom by grower Jon Harper. It is a cross between 7 Pot Bubblegum and Naglah, the latter itself being a hybrid of Bhut Jolokia and 7 Pot Douglah.

Plants can grow up to approximately 1.2 metres in height and are known for strong productivity. The pods are heavily wrinkled and mature to a deep chocolate-brown colour. Flavour is notably sweet for a super-hot variety and is paired with an intense, long-lasting heat that is commonly reported as stronger than the red Borg 9 type.

Although no official Scoville testing has been published, the heat level is widely regarded as being in the upper range of super-hot Capsicum chinense varieties.
