Charapon Amarillo

Charapon Amarillo is a Capsicum chinense landrace originating from the Peruvian Amazon, particularly the Loreto and Ucayali regions. It is traditionally cultivated and maintained within local growing communities.

Plants produce large numbers of small, marble-sized pods that grow pendant and mature from green to a bright orange colour. The fruits are thin-walled and highly aromatic.

Charapon Amarillo is known for its fruity sweetness combined with medium heat, consistent with Capsicum chinense flavour characteristics. Due to its compact pod size and prolific yield, it is commonly grown for fresh use and local culinary applications.
