Heat listings place Chimera in the 800,000 to 1,000,000 SHU range. Flavour notes attached to the line describe it as sweet, fruity, sharp, and nuanced, with enough heat to be treated firmly as a superhot rather than a mid-range novelty type.

The strongest identifiable trait in the live record is phenotype spread under the same name. Grower sale and wanted lists show Chimera in white, orange, and red forms, while later catalogue material separately lists Chimera Dark and Chimera Peach. That gives the line a broad, shifting presentation in circulation, with the Chimera name covering more than one colour expression and later selected branch.
