About this pepper

Coyote Zan White is a Capsicum chinense variety originating from Brazil. Plants are compact and bushy, typically growing to around 60 to 70 centimetres in height, making them well suited to container growing. The plant is highly productive and sets fruit reliably.

Pods are small and elongated with a tear-shaped form, measuring approximately 3 to 4 centimetres long and 1 to 1.5 centimetres wide. Fruits mature from light green to creamy white and reach a bright white colour at full ripeness.

The flavour is aromatic and fruity with noticeable citrus notes, paired with a deep, warming heat comparable to habanero-level peppers. Pungency is commonly estimated at around 100,000 Scoville Heat Units. Coyote Zan White is used fresh, dried, or processed into sauces and powders, particularly where colour preservation is desired. The origin of the name is unclear, but the variety is recognised for its distinctive white pods and consistent performance.
