About this pepper

Fatalii White, also sold as White Fatalii, is a white-ripening Fatalii-type Capsicum chinense cultivar with an elongated, wrinkled pod shape that is often described as slimmer than a typical habanero. One detailed seed description gives fruit dimensions at about 8.0 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, with plants reaching approximately 61.0 to 91.5 cm tall.

Pods are described as ripening from pale green to a creamy white or green-white mature colour. The fruit shape and colour make it visually distinct within the broader Fatalii group.

Flavour is consistently described as fruity with strong citrus or lemon-like notes, and multiple grower comments highlight taste as one of the main reasons to grow it. One seller description notes that the heat hits quickly in the mouth before the citrus flavour becomes more noticeable.

Heat reporting varies significantly across sources. Published figures include around 100,000 SHU, 125,000 to 400,000 SHU, 325,000 SHU, and at least one outlier claim of 1,200,000 SHU that does not align with the more common habanero-range descriptions. The value of 325,000 SHU is used here because it is a specific numeric claim from a detailed listing and still sits within the most commonly repeated heat band.
