About this pepper

Fatalii x Red Savina (Yellow) is a Capsicum chinense hybrid from the Fatalii x Red Savina line that was already in circulation by 2011. Public grower records show the cross being distributed that year by a grower using the name Justaguy, and later discussion from the same grower states that the line had both red and yellow variants. By late 2014 it was also appearing in grower lists specifically as Red Savina x Fatalii Yellow, showing that the yellow form had already become recognised within hobby grower circles.

The yellow form is described as a superhot chinense with strong Fatalii influence in flavour and a milder Red Savina character behind it. A later grower note from the original distributor described the yellow variant as starting with Fatalii flavour and finishing with a mild Red Savina note, while seller descriptions for the cross describe a fruity, citrusy profile and very high heat. The same public sources place it in the upper hot to superhot range, with one hobby grow list giving it a figure of about 450,000 SHU.

In fruit form, the yellow line is presented as broader than a typical Fatalii, with heavier yields and very good flavour. Seller descriptions of the cross describe a savina-shaped appearance and a ripe colour in the yellow to orange range, while the dedicated yellow listing describes it as an uncommon variety with wide pods and strong production. Its overall identity is that of a hobby-circulated yellow superhot built from Fatalii and Red Savina parentage, combining strong productivity, a wider pod shape than standard Fatalii, pronounced fruity flavour, and a solid superhot burn.
