Habanero White is a Capsicum chinense habanero-type cultivar known for pods that mature to cream or ivory-white rather than orange or red. It is treated in modern seed trade and pepper databases as a distinct white colour form within the broader habanero group.

Pods are typically small and lantern-shaped, usually about 3.0–4.5 cm long and about 2.0–3.5 cm wide. Fruit start green and mature to creamy white or pale yellow-white.

Heat reporting is inconsistent. Sources and grower reports commonly place it anywhere from about 100000 to 350000 SHU. A working figure of 225000 SHU is a mid-range estimate based on that spread. No widely published independent lab Scoville test tied to a clearly documented Habanero White line is easy to verify, so heat can vary by strain and growing conditions.

Flavour is commonly described as fruity and citrusy, sometimes with a light smoky note, broadly similar to other habanero colour forms. These flavour notes are subjective and not laboratory measured.

Origin claims are messy. Many listings state Peru, and some broader histories place early Capsicum chinense domestication in parts of South America, but there is no clear historical record that specifically documents a named cultivar called Habanero White in ancient sources. The pepper group is old, but the exact colour-form name appears to be modern.

Conflicting or unclear information includes multiple seller names such as White Habanero Bullet or White Giant, which may be separate strains or simply marketing names. The first clearly dated appearance of the specific name Habanero White is unclear, and most traceable mentions are in modern horticulture and seed listings rather than historical records.
