Jalapeño Jalapa

Jalapeño Jalapa is an improved Capsicum annuum variety named after Xalapa (Jalapa), Veracruz, Mexico, where jalapeños were traditionally cultivated. It was selected for compact growth and reliable production.

Plants are small and well suited to container growing, yet highly productive. Pods are thick-walled and mature from green to bright red. Fruit size and wall thickness make them suitable for stuffing and fresh use.

The flavour is robust and balanced, with moderate heat averaging around 5,000 Scoville Heat Units. Jalapeño Jalapa grows well in gardens, greenhouses, and sunny indoor locations and is valued for its adaptability and consistent yields.
