About this pepper

Marbles is an ornamental Capsicum annuum variety developed in the United States by Oregon State University. It was bred for compact growth, colourful fruit display, and low heat.

Plants are small and compact, typically reaching 30 to 35 centimetres in height. They produce large numbers of small, round pods measuring approximately 1.3 centimetres in both length and width.

Fruits mature through multiple colour stages, progressing from cream to yellow, purple, orange, and finally red. Heat levels are very mild, averaging around 300 Scoville Heat Units. Marbles is grown primarily for ornamental use but produces edible fruit suitable for light culinary applications.
