Orange Wonder

Orange Wonder is a Capsicum annuum cultivar grown as both an ornamental and an edible hot chilli, known for carrying masses of upright orange fruits above the foliage. The name has also been used in some commercial catalogues for a different sweet pepper line, but the Orange Wonder chilli in garden seed trade and chilli-growing references is the compact hot annuum with upright orange pods.

This cultivar is typically described as a low-growing to compact plant suited to pots, containers, patios, greenhouse culture, and sunny windowsills. It is valued for its heavy fruit set and decorative display, with many pods produced at once rather than singly, giving the plant a dense, colourful crown when in full production.

The fruits are small, slender to pointy, and upright, usually produced in clusters above bright green leaves. They start green and mature to a vivid orange, and multiple sellers and growers describe them as hot and tasty rather than merely ornamental, making them useful both for display and for kitchen use.
