Peach Stripey Baccatum

Peach Stripey Baccatum is a modern Capsicum baccatum line circulating as an F4 selection, described as a promising baccatum cross with mild heat, a super-crisp texture, and a sweet, fruity flavour. The pods are described as long rather than squat, and the defining visual trait is a peach ripe colour with red striping that remains visible at maturity.

In current seed circulation, this pepper is presented as a visually striking fresh-use type rather than a heavy-heat line. The available descriptions emphasise sweetness, crunch, and fruitiness, with the striping treated as a stable enough ornamental trait to be a main selling feature of the line. Its F4 status places it among relatively recent breeding selections rather than older heirloom or landrace material.

Major factual conflict: the exact name Peach Stripey Baccatum is used in current seed listings for a long-podded F4 baccatum line, while separate breeder-linked sources online describe PeppaPeach Stripey as another striped peach Capsicum baccatum discovered by Matt Layton in 2021 from Peppapeach. Those sources describe a different pod type, usually smaller and rounder, so they are not treated here as the same entry.
