PDN x BBG is a hybrid cross between Pimenta de Neyde and 7 Pot Bubblegum peppers circulated mainly through hobby seed sellers and enthusiast seed exchanges. Listings commonly describe it as producing extremely hot pods with unusual coloration and strong chinense flavour.

Pods typically begin green and transition through coral or pinkish salmon tones before ripening red. Some plants may also show a faint purple blush during development due to genetic influence from the Pimenta de Neyde parent, which is known for strong anthocyanin pigmentation. The stems and calyx can also show traits associated with Bubblegum-type peppers, sometimes displaying unusual colouration during ripening.
