About this pepper

Sili-a-Top is a Capsicum baccatum chilli from the Philippines. It is known for high productivity and long, elongated pods that can reach up to 10 centimetres in length and about 2 centimetres in width.

Pods ripen through several colour stages, starting green, sometimes with purple tinges, then light orange, and finally a warm orange at full maturity. Plants typically reach around 70 centimetres tall in pots and can grow much larger when planted in the ground.

The flavour is citrus-forward with fruity notes, and the heat level is moderate, averaging around 5,000 Scoville Heat Units. Sili-a-Top is easy to grow and valued for both yield and flavour.
