About this pepper

Solar Flare Sweet Pepper is a sweet Capsicum annuum variety developed in the United States by Edmund Frost. It was selected from seed-saving work involving Escamillo F1 and Carmen peppers, with contributions from Broadfork Farm, to create an open-pollinated type better suited to southern growing conditions.

Plants are vigorous and highly productive. Pods are large, tapered, and golden yellow at maturity, typically measuring around 12.7 to 17.8 centimetres long and about 6.4 centimetres wide at the shoulder.

The flavour is sweet with a light tang and no heat. Solar Flare Sweet Pepper is grown for fresh eating, roasting, and market production and is valued for yield, flavour, and adaptability.
