About this pepper

Sugar Rush Rojo is a Capsicum baccatum variety developed in the United Kingdom by Welsh grower Chris Fowler. It is a red-fruited variant within the Sugar Rush group.

Plants are vigorous and highly productive once established. Pods are elongated with a crunchy texture and mature to a bright red colour. Fruit shape and size may vary slightly between plants, as the variety is not yet fully stabilised.

The flavour is sweet and fruity, typical of baccatum peppers, with heat levels just above medium, averaging around 50,000 Scoville Heat Units. Sugar Rush Rojo is commonly used fresh, in sauces, or for drying.
