About this pepper

Thunder Cacho Brown is a Capsicum annuum hybrid developed in Denmark by grower Jes Christiansen. It is a cross between Thunder Mountain Longhorn from China and Cacho Negro from Costa Rica.

Plants are tall and productive, usually growing between 1 and 1.2 metres in height. Pods are long, twisted, and slender, often reaching up to 45 centimetres in length. Fruits mature from green to brown and have thicker walls than Thunder Mountain Longhorn.

The flavour is fruity with smoky notes and mild to medium heat, averaging around 30,000 Scoville Heat Units. Thunder Cacho Brown is valued for its size, productivity, and improved wall thickness for cooking and drying.
